I'll be showing you what to look out for to make your design functional and attractive. Work out estimates for plain and pattern fabrics, calculate fabric quantities, learn the correct methods for achieving the design you want. You will make a sample curtain that you can refer to when you start your larger project.
ADVANCED CURTAINS DAY
Learn to make interlined/lined curtains. Everything you need to know about pinch, goblet and cartridge pleats. You will make a sample curtain for future reference.
SAMPLE ROMAN BLIND DAY Roman Blinds are one of the most stylish ways to dress up a window. Their clean lines and easy care make them the perfect choice. They can be made out of most weights of fabric and are usually lined. They can be used alone or with a pelmet or dress curtains. On the course you will learn how to design, measure and calculate fabric quantities correctly. Making a sample blind we will look at the various methods and discuss which is suitable for the fabric you choose.
