SATURDAY 5th  APRIL   QUILTING FOR EVERYONE                       10am-4.30

Learn very quick and easy ways to quilt and create fabric by machine for cushions, waist-coats, linings, jackets, children’s clothes, and quilts. Take home samples using Patterns, straight stitches, double needle & freehand. FOLLOW ON CLASS – TWIN NEEDLE & HAPPY ENDINGS

WEDNESDAY 23RD APRIL  EMBELLISHING T-SHIRTS                    10am-4.30

With such special offers on summers t-shirts this course is designed to show you how to embellish them with various techniques to create individual fashion items for your holidays.  Techniques include couching and cording, trimmings and lace trim, appliqué, chenille appliqué and embroidery techniques.

                             STACK & WACK PATCHWORK     CLASS FULL            7-10pm     
Bright stripes or bold printed fabrics can be cut and assembled quickly by using this clever patchwork technique. An incredible method of developing the skills to make  tricky but dramatic Kaleidoscope blocks.

TUESDAY 13TH MAY 2008  HEILOOM QUILT  Pt 7   CLASS FULL      7-10pm
Make the last 3 blocks of your Heirloom quilt by mastering the art of Rouleaus. No gadgets just easy and accurate sewn fine straps. Quilting with Triple Needle and patterns.

WEDNESDAY 14TH MAY  TWIN NEEDLE DAY          CLASS FULL      10am-4.30
Enjoy discovering the endless possibilities of using Twin Needles.  Be amazed at the beautiful effects you can achieve on seams and finishing hems. Use practical and decorative techniques including shadow work, lace and lingerie elastic.

WEDNESDAY 11TH JUNE  HAPPY ENDINGS DAY   CLASS FULL      10am-4.30 
A day devoted to finishing edges on Quilts and tableware/runners. Sashing ideas and techniques, mitred single and turned borders, mitred continuous binding, turned edge, strip-pieced piping and ric-rac edge. All you need to know to finish your quilting projects.   

                           SEWING MACHINE BASICS   Ironing Board Cover         7-10pm
You will learn how to thread your machine correctly, use different stitches, seam and neaten fabrics and make good buttonholes, and at the same time make a really useful ironing board cover, plus cleaning, oiling and problem solving.

 SATURDAY 28TH JUNE  CLASS FULL
FANTASY EMBROIDERY BEADED BAG  Workshop 10-4.30pm

You can make this beautiful bag with any basic sewing machine.  Work with a selection of materials, threads and experiment with all types of machine decorative work using presser feet and free machine sewing.  We will show you a variety of techniques to create unique, quick and effective embroidered textile work and make into a handy purse bag. 

PLEASE DO NOT BE PUT OFF IF CLASS IS FULL AS WE ALWAYS RUN A WAITING LIST AND USUALLY HAVE ENOUGH TO RE-RUN THE CLASS AT A LATER DATE.
